Please join Dr. Sophie Wunderlich ’18, a postdoctoral fellow in the Division of the Senior Historian at the United States Holocaust Museum, for a public lecture titled, “Rethinking American Fascism: The Long History of the 20th Century U.S. Far Right.”
 
Abstract: Before January 6th and Charlottesville’s Unite the Right Rally, before the Oklahoma City bombing and the standoff at Ruby Ridge, what tradition did America’s right-wing extremists emerge from in the twentieth century? This talk explores the forgotten history of the U.S. far Right, from uniformed fascist groups in the 1930s, to international neo-Nazism in the mid-century, to anti-Communist militias in the sixties and seventies.
