About this event

The Art of Resistance Gallery Show will feature resistance art, buttons and signs, films, photography, and music inspired by the large spectrum of events and issues we have dealt with as we have exercised our First Amendment rights to protect democracy and our Constitution over the past two years.
The Show runs Oct. 2-Dec. 11, 2026. Daytime hours are Tues–Fri and Sunday 11:00–3:00 • Sat- 10:00–2:00. Special events are listed below.

Contributing organizations include members from Greylock Together, The North Adams weekly Standouts organized by Eileen For Justice, Indivisible Pittsfield’s Weekly Standout, and Stand Up, Berkshires! No Kings Rallies in Pittsfield.

Local artists and organizations have submitted signs, fine art, video installations and more. A Greylock Together Art of Resistance Team is curating the submissions and working closely with Lori Spencer from Mosaic to coordinate special events and hours of operation.

WHY: To be silent is to be complicit.
Art makes dissent visible. At a time of unprecedented corruption in American politics, and with an Administration that actively subverts and suppresses voices of resistance, creative expression builds a permanent record that cannot be erased. The Art of Resistance highlights the diverse work of local activists who challenge the harms of our current political regime. Our art brings to life the human spirit, that cannot be crushed by force or intimidation.

We can all find ways to show up. Together, in this community. The exhibit and its related programming are intended to inspire action.
Everyone can contribute toward positive change: call your representatives, use the 5Calls app, phone bank for battleground races, write postcards, join a grassroots group. Anger, joy, community, and compassion all offer deep wells for inspiration and action.
